Descriptive gazetteer entries

In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Rickerscote like this:

RICKERSCOTE, a township in Castle-Church parish, Staffordshire; on the river Penk and the Grand Junction railway, near the Worcester canal, 2 miles S E of Stafford. Pop., 154. There is a spa.

This is the only descriptive gazetter entry we have found, but you may be able to find further references to Rickerscote by doing a full-text search here.
