Total Population 1821 to 1911: Population fell from 2,393 in 1821 to 2,081 in 1911.
Occupational Structure in 1831: Out of 592 males aged 20 and over, 195 were Other.
Housing in 1851: 9.09 per cent of houses were classed as "Mud cabins having only one room" (the all-Ireland percentage was 13.).

Notes:

Although the Lewis gazetteer says "DUNGANSTOWN, a parish, in the barony of ARKLOW, county of WICKLOW … is called also Ennisboheen", Dunganstown and Ennisboheen are listed separately by the 1821 and 1831 censuses. Conversely, Ennisboheen appears in 1821 and 1831 but not later, while Kilpoole appears in 1841 and 1851 but not earlier; and the population statistics are consistent, including the bulk of the population being within the town of Wicklow in all four years.
