A vision of Britain from 1801 to now.
Including maps, statistical trends and historical descriptions.
The only census to include statistics for this unit was 1921, when it was reported as having an area of 94 acres but with no population. A footnote to table 9 of the 1901 report for Denbighshire says 'The constitution of Ruthin Municipal Borough ... is that which is recognised by the Local Authorities: On Ordnance maps, however, part of Ruthin Civil Parish, as existing prior to the Local Government Act of 1894, is shown as outside the limits of the Borough, and designated "Ruthin Rural".' The 1911 census makes a very similar statement (Administrative Areas report, table 10). The area was merged into Llanynys Rural CP in 1921.
