SHOTTLE AND POSTERN, a township in Duffield parish, Derby; 5 miles S by E of Wirksworth. It has a station on the Wirksworth railway, a chapel of ease, and an endowed school. Acres, 3,741. Real property, £5,146. Pop., 427. Houses, 82.
