THURLEIGH, a parish, with a village, in the district and county of Bedford; 3¼ miles E by S of Sharnbrook r. station, and 5¾ N of Bedford. Post town, Bedford. Acres, 3,480. Real property, £3,103 Pop., 666, Houses, 147. The manor belongs to J. S. Crawley, Esq-The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Ely. Value, £200.* Patron, J. S. Crawley, Esq. The church is ancient but good. There are a Baptist chapel, a national school, and charities £16.
