LINTZ-GREEN, a township in Tanfield chapelry, Chester-le-Street parish, Durham; on the river Derwent, and on the Stanhope and Tyne railway, 6½ miles N of Durham city. Acres, 2,640. Real property, £14,286; of which £7,910 are in mines. Pop. in 1831,650.
