Place:

Miawst  Carmarthenshire

In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Miawst like this:

MIAWST, a hamlet in Llanarthney parish, Carmarthenshire; 7½ miles E of Carmarthen.

The location is that marked as "Miawst", somewhat illegibly, on the 1st Series map. It is close to the location of "Pont Miawst" on the modern 1:25,000 map.
