Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for TRESILIAN

TRESILIAN, a village in Merther parish, Cornwall; on a creek of Falmonth harbour, 3¼ miles ENE of Truro. It has a post-office under Probus, Cornwall, and four annual fairs; and it was the place where the civil wars of Charles I. terminated, by the surrender of the royal army to Fairfax.
