Charlestown.-- eccl. dist. and seaport vil., St Austell par., E. Cornwall, pop. 2749. The vil. is 2 miles SE. of St Austell; P.O., T.O.; has harb., docks, and shipbuilding yards; also pilchard fisheries, and a large export trade in porcelain clay.
