Malling, West (or Town Malling), market town and par. (ry. sta. Malling), Kent, 5½ miles NW. of Maidstone, 1379 ac., pop. 2242; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank; at West Maling are remains of a Benedictine nunnery founded 1090; Malling Abbey, seat, includes portions of the ancient structure.
