Plinlimmon (Five Beacons), mountain, on border of Cardiganshire and Montgomeryshire, 10 miles W. of Llanidloes, alt. 2469 ft.; comprises 3 masses, forming the centre of a great mountain group, and contains the sources of the rivers Severn, Wye, Rheidol, Ystwith, and Llyffnant.
