Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Etruria

Etruria, eccl. dist. and vil., Stoke upon Trent par., N. Staffordshire -- dist., pop. 4785; vil., 1½ mile S. of Burslem; P.O., T.O.; is the seat of the earthenware manufactory erected by Josiah Wedgwood; at Etruria Hall Wedgwood died in 1795; in the neighbourhood are coal and ironworks.
