Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Dalry, Dalrigh, or Dalree

Dalry, Dalrigh, or Dalree (the King's Field), 1½ mile SE. of Tyndrum sta., near W. border of Perthshire; was the scene, in 1306, of a skirmish between Bruce and Macdougal of Lorne, in which Bruce lost the Brooch of Lorne, described in Scott's Lord of the Isles.
