The acreage of Ferry Frystone is given as 3,040 acres in 1861, and as 3,186 acres in 1891, so Water Frystone appears and disappears without comment. The 1851 census notes that 'Ferry Frystone includes Ferrybridge, Water Frystone and Wheldale Hamlets'.
