WISSETT, a parish, with a village, in Blything district, Suffolk; 2 miles NW of Halesworth r. station. Post town, Halesworth. Acres, 2,259. Real property, £3,818. Pop., 427. Houses, 100. The manor belongs to Sir J. Hartopp, Bart. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich. Value, £125.* Patron, Sir J. Hartopp, Bart. The church is partly Norman. There are an Independent chapel and a national school.
