LLANGUA, a parish in the district of Hereford and county of Monmouth; on the river Monnow, adjacent to the Hereford and Abergavenny railway, at the boundary with Herefordshire, 1½ mile SSW of Pontrilas r. station, and 10 NE of Abergavenny. Post town, Abergavenny. Acres, 695. Real property, £833. Pop., 114. Houses, 23. The property is subdivided. A small monastic establishment was here. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Llandaff. Value, £120. Patron, J. L. Scudamore, Esq. The church was reported in 1859 as bad.
