WITHINGTON (Lower), a township, with a village, in Prestbury parish, Cheshire; 7 miles NNW of Congleton. Acres, 2,265. Real property, £4,244. Pop., 578. Houses, 114. There are two Methodist chapels, and an endowed school with £23 a year.
