ALDERFORD, a parish in St. Faith district, Norfolk; on the river Wensum, 9 miles NNE of Thuxton r. station, and 10 NW of Norwich. It has a post office under Norwich. Acres, 432. Real property, £838. Pop., 29. Houses, 5. The manor belonged anciently to Norwich cathedral. The living is a rectory, united with the vicarage of Attlebridge, in the diocese of Norwich. Value, £219.* Patrons, the Dean and Chapter of Norwich. The church is old but good.
