STRAFFORTH and TICKHILL, a wapentake in the S of W. R. Yorkshire; containing 52 parishes and 2 parts; and cut into two divisions, lower and upper. Acres, 116,033 and 130,718. Pop. in 1851, 25,238 and 61,875; in 1861, 108,509. Houses, 22,327.
