HENGOED, a hamlet in Llanelly parish, Carmarthen; partly within Llanelly borough and on the railway to Mynydd-Mawr, near Llanelly town. Real property, £5, 543; of which £350 are in mines and £51 in quarries. Pop. in 1851, 1, 776; in 1861, 2, 024. Houses, 390. Pop. of the part within Llanelly borough, 362. Houses, 69.
