HOLGATE, a township in St. Mary-Bishops hillJunior parish, W. R. Yorkshire; on the river Ouse, near York. Acres, 250. Real property, £2, 076. Pop., 170. Houses, 30. Lindley Murray, the grammarian, lived and died here.
