Post town, Thorpe, under Stockton. Rated property, £2, 948. Pop., 343. house, 75. The property is divided among a few. The manor belonged to the late Marchioness of Londonderry. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Durham. Value, £250.* Patron, Earl Vane. The church and parsonage was recently rebuilt.
