SKIRPENBECK, a parish, with a village, in Pocklington district, E. R. Yorkshire; 2¾ miles NE of Stamford-Bridge r. station, and 6½ NW of Pocklington. It has a post-office under York. Acres, 1,560. Real property, £2,255. Pop., 198. Houses, 38. The property is divided among a few. The living is a rectory in the diocese of York. Value, £232.* Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is ancient but good.
