It has a station on the railway, and a post office under Melton-Mowbray. Acres, 1,210. Real property, £3,902. Pop., 485. Houses, 125. The property is much sub-divided. ...


Stocking-making is carried on. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough. Value, £455. Patron, the Rev. Frederick G. Burnaby. The church was recently repaired, and has a tower and spire. There are chapels for Wesleyan and Primitive Methodists, and charities £8.
