Q: What is the difference between a seamless map and an original map sheet?

A: The seamless maps are part of a group of map sheets which have been put together digitally to provide a seamless view of the map series. They have been geo-referenced so the sheets are located in the correct place geographically. You can move around each map and between different ones without interruption.

The original map sheets, on the other hand, are straightforward images of the paper maps, complete with all the information in the margins. They are not geo-referenced.
