Rossington, par. and vil. with ry. sta., S. div. West-Riding Yorkshire, 4 ¾ miles SE. of Doncaster, 3051 ae., pop. 354; near vil. is Rossington Hall, seat; in the churchyard is the grave of C. Bosvile, king of the northern gipsies, who died in 1708.
