Tintagel, par., Cornwall, on the coast, 5 miles NW. Camelford, 4350 ac., pop. 894; on Tintagel Head, a cliff 300 ft. high, and nearly separated from the mainland, are the ruins of Tintagel Castle, the legendary birthplace and residence of King Arthur.
