1 The Registration Districts of the County of ?? are co-extensive with the Poor Law Unions of the same names. [Exceptions to this are noted on the next sheet]
2 The differences between the Registration County and the Administrative County are shown in Table 2.
3 Parishes that are situated in an Urban District are distinguished by black type thus -- [e.g.] Llangefni.
4 The places named in footnotes as being included in Civil Parishes are generally localities having no defined boundaries, such as hamlets, villages, etc.
5 For particulars of existing detached parts of Civil Parishes see Table 13; and for changes to the boundaries of Civil Parishes effected by the Local Government Acts of 1888 and 1894, and by Local Acts since 1891, see Table 14. In the Sub-Districts marked + changes were made in boundaries between the census of 1891 and that of 1901.
